Our customers range from hosting providers, internet telephony providers and content distribution providers, all with different needs and demands, but with one thing in common: reliable connectivity comes first.
Connecting the office
By using several different fiber glass suppliers in the Netherlands, we can provide offices with high speed internet by tying them to one of our points of presence.
Housing servers in a data center, linking multiple locations together, shielding private networks and VPN solutions are just a couple of services we provide as well.
Link type - IP Transit or IP Access (Using your own routers if you wish)
OSSO can supply internet connectivity by means of a BGPv4 link, targeted for companies that have their own routers and infrastructure (IP Transit) or simple fiber/ethernet connectivity where we supply you with a series of IP addresses to work with (IP Access).
Type of traffic - Dutch, International or On-Net
Between the different suppliers there's a noticable price difference between international and national traffic. Until now, the end user always pays a "blended" rate, no matter what type of traffic they were doing.
This simply means that customers can't take advantage of the low national traffic rates unless they're doing large enough amounts of traffic to warrant having a network of their own with routers (and the associated maintenance costs).
To change this, OSSO provides the possibility to pay the national and international traffic costs separately. And you don't need to do anything on your end for it. Our traffic accounting software developed in-house measures your traffic in real time and accounts whether it's national or international traffic.
Given that most traffic is usually national, this scheme can pay off. As an added bonus, all on-net traffic is free (the traffic that never leaves our network). This way you won't get charged for traffic from your office to your own equipment located on our network or for traffic to any of our other customers.
IP Addresses
Because OSSO is a RIPE NCC Local Internet Registry (LIR), we can allocate IP addresses to our customers. This way you can get all the IP space you need, as long as your needs comply with the rules for IP allocation as set forth by RIPE.
